    MindWell spreads the word about MMM and the benefits of mindfulness

'Meeting Men in the Moment' is a pilot project to study the impact of mindfulness training on men and the workplace. Working with five pilot organizations including Coca-Cola Canada and The University of British Columbia, MindWell-U will be delivering in-person mindfulness training to 100+ men in the form of:

  • Workshops
  • Information sessions
  • Presentations
  • Wellness fairs
  • Retreats
  • 6-week courses
  • Info sessions
  • One-on-one coaching

MindWell will also make its 30 Day Mindfulness Challenge available to MMM participants to determine if the online delivery of mindfulness training helps reach and impact men and their health.

The Sauder School of Business conducted research on the MMM mindfulness interventions and together we determined the best ways to reach more men with mindfulness is to:

Call it something else - Performance Training, Leadership Training, Safety Training, etc. all appeal to men and help make mindfulness training less 'girly' and more relevant.

Deliver a blended approach - Provide the training both in-person and online to appeal to and reach as wide a male audience as possible.

Go where the men are - By delivering mindfulness training in the workplace, it not only becomes more accessible but it's also perceived to be endorsed by the organization, and therefore OK to sign up.

Mix it up - Use diverse learning tools and keep the content short, sharp and action-orientated.
