"Neuroscientists found that the meditators had more gray matter in another brain region, this time linked to decision-making and working memory: the frontal cortex. In fact, while most people see their cortexes shrink as they age, 50-year-old meditators in the study had the same amount of gray matter as those half their age.

That's remarkable."

Take 5 Moments

Reflections from participants on the Mindfulness Challenge...

"One example that illustrates the application and benefits of this training is when I encounter a stressful situation. I now know to Take 5 to diffuse the issue and walk through it slowly, with a clear mind."

"I have noticed that following a take 5 I am more focused and prepared to return more fully to the task at hand. I have also noticed that when thought trains regarding my personal life are on my mind at work, a take 5 helps to refocus my thinking."
