Mindful police: New addition to MWU Faculty

MWU welcomes Constable Jon Carson to the team. Jon is a 20 year veteran in policing and Canada's foremost leader in bringing mindfulness to first responders.

We are delighted to have Jon joining the MindWell U team as the MWU Senior Trainer for First Responders.

MWU's Dr. Geoff Soloway had the opportunity to present at the APEX (Association of Professional Executives of the Public Service of Canada) Leadership Symposium. This two-day event brings together executives from across all government departments. Dr. Soloway presented on a panel discussing Mindful Leadership at the symposium.


MWU is offering the 30 Day Mindfulness Challenge to all 3,000 APEX members.



UPCOMING: Innovative new research project


MWU is partnering with APEX and researchers from the Treasury Board, STATCAN and UBC Sauder School of Business on a year-long research project measuring the impact of mindfulness training on employee engagement, wellbeing and incivility & harassment in the workplace.

This innovative research project will go beyond the typical focus of individual change and also look at cultural change at the team and organizational level.
